Gamania’s ultra-popular Maple Story game is now 9 years old. In readiness for a golden decade of Maple Story, Gamania announced that it will be launched the first wave of the YOU&I expansions that has been so enthusiastically welcomed overseas on June 26th. The outdoor and combat systems will be significantly upgraded to make monsters more unpredictable and exciting, and combat more fun and varied. Quests will also be simplified and the system interface made more intuitive to shorten the learning curve for players.

YOU&i Goes Back to the Basics to Bring Fun to Maple Story!
The YOU&I expansion project that the Korean development team came up with chose not to focus completely on new game content or systems. Instead, after carefully listening to what players want, adjustments and upgrades were made to expansion weaknesses that players want fixed. This two-way communication process with Maple Story fans will be maintained in the future to create an even more fun and interesting Maple Story through core gameplay. The first wave of expanded content being released on June 26 is targeted at the game’s core outdoor and combat systems. The addition of random elite bosses will allow players to relive the endless fun of Maple Story.
Random Monster and Boss Attacks Test Player Reflexes!
Players familiar with Maple Story all spent a lot of time fighting with different monsters. To allow players to enjoy the thrill of combat during the grind, elite monsters and elite bosses have now been added to the outdoor system. When players have fought a certain number of monsters for a certain amount of time, elite monsters and elite bosses double the size of ordinary monsters, that hit harder and have more HP, will appear to challenge the player’s hunting skills. When an elite boss appears, all players in the map will be alerted. Players can then band together to defeat the monster for chance to receive all kinds of high-level items and tons of experience.

Grinding is Old Hat! Combat System Reworked with Deadly Combo Attacks!
Pressing keyboard keys in combat can get really old. To give players a positive experience, combo skills have now been added to the combat system including MultiKill for killing 3 or more monsters, or ComboKill for killing a run of monsters. When players take down monsters using combo moves their character will receive extra experience.

Level up to 100 in One Week! New Maple Guide System Delivers More Efficient Leveling!
The real fun in Maple Story is in the game content after tier 4. Many beginners, however, are unfamiliar with the best grinding spots and leveling maps, resulting in slow progress and difficulty in reaching the level 100 threshold for class change. This means they miss out on the essence of the game. To help beginners solve this problem, the expansion also adds the Maple Guide system. The system will recommend quests, maps and content based on the player’s current level. By following the system’s directions and accepting chain quests, players can boost their experience and hit level 100 within one week.

A mystery character will soon be revealed in Maple Story and lift the veil on a forgotten chapter! The pirate-class character Shade has a Korean look and is a tragic hero hidden within the river of history. To seal the Black Mage, he selflessly channeled his all of his energies into five sealing columns. When he used up the last of his power, he turned into dust… The appearance of Shade is expected to take Maple Story into a new storyline that has been told before and will be well worth the wait!
