Gamania is turning 18 this year! The 18th annual Gamania Sports Day took place on May 25th, 2013 in the Taipei Children’s Recreation Center. It was a special day indeed, especially because we had perfect weather. Gamanians were seen arriving in their Gama Tees early on! An adorable show was brought to us by Gama Garden to start the day with a bang.

This year, every aspect counts. In order to get the top score, performance in attendance, cheers, challenges and mystery challenges are all taken into consideration. Every contender was cracking knuckles with their eyes on the prize. The Cheer Competition is one of the traditions of the Gama Cup. After endless hours of rehearsing beforehand, our fate is yet to be revealed! The spirit of F.A.M.I.L.Y. held us through these “tough times” of cheer practice. It also never failed to bring us together. The truth is, we all wanted to win the championship. It was an honor thing. That’s what made this day ever more interesting!

Gamanians proceed to take on the Mini Challenges after the warm-up! There are 8 challenges in total, with an extra mystery challenge unlocked upon completing them all. The heat didn’t intimidate us one bit: We were all in it to win it!

This year’s GAMA 18 reminded us of our childhood self, and re-discovered our youthful spirit that welcomes adventure. On behalf of the people of Gamania, thanks again to the staff of the Sports Day event, we all went home with truly wonderful memories.
