Follow a Gamanian to Work

Most Gamanians tend to take the same route from home to Gamania every day. Although the route is the same, sometimes affected by the mood, weather, or as simple as a random smile from a pedestrian, the ‘view’ would suddenly change!

In this special issue, we invited Gamanians from around the globe to share their work routes. You can simply click on the Google Map and experience the work route with our representatives. Are you ready to travel with us? Let’s go!

Taiwan GTW

Unit: GTW-NT

Name: Joseph Huang

Joseph lives in hustle-bustle Tucheng filled with shops and stores. You could buy breakfast from the famous Yong-he Soy Milk. He travels by the famous Taipei Detention Center. Whenever someone with high media attention checks in there, it always gets really busy around the Detention Center. In addition, Joseph also passes by some locations that connect to his life personally. Let’s take a look!

China GCN

Unit: GCN-BJ

Name: Haiying Wang

China is a vast and rich in cultural and historical relics. It is probably hard for Gamanians in Taiwan to imagine that the architecture you see every day on your way to work were built hundreds of years ago. Every corner is a hidden history!

Hong Kong GHK

Unit: GHK-IT

Name: Maggie Cheng

Maggie lives in Hong Kong, the city of gourmet paradise! Let’s take a look at her work route: it’s connected by many authentic local delicacies. Follow her to work is like a journey of gourmet adventure. Although Hong Kong is very small with dense population and it gets quite crowded when you have to commute, with that many delicious food choices, it really does make people envy!

Japan GJP

Unit: GJP-PD

Name: Takeko Kaihatsu

Do you know where the family in the anime, Atashin’chi live? It is in the city called, Tanashi and also the place where Takeko live. Like what we normally see in Japanese drama, Takeko has to ride in the crowded metro and embarks a series of line change every day. Although it is tiresome, getting on and off at different stations is also a chance to taste different regional gourmet. And in the spring, cherry trees would even blossom alongside the road, making the commute poetic and romantic!

Korea GKR

Unit: GKR-OS

Name: Saya Lee

Recently the ‘Korean Craze’ has swept over Taiwan: Korean celebrities are gorgeous, Korean food is delicious etc. Our Korean representative, Saya lives here every day. Would she experience ‘romantic encounter’ like what we see in Korean drama? Perhaps in the real life, it is a bit far-fetched to meet handsome celebrity-looking men on the street every day, but meeting ‘kimchi’ on the table every day is quite common.

Europe GEU

Unit: GEU-CSO

Name: Alan Lan

Europeans like their privacies, so the work route is kept a mystery! Don’t despair, let’s have a look at the GEU offices, including the ones in Netherland, London and France. Their offices may not be as spacious as the one in GHQ but they are small and decent. Wooden table sets with natural light through the big windows, if you happen to have a cup of coffee in hand, one might actually mistake it for an elegant café. Great ambience, check!
