Lomo is more than a camera brand, it’s a photography attitude or even a life style.
Lomo has brought up slogans such as “There is no rule” and “Don’t think, just take it,” the fun-loving and spontaneous nature is quite similar to Gamanians, who always seem to be the pioneer to explore all possibilities. SPACE 17’s feature exhibition, titled “0°-360° Viewpoint: Gamania Lomo Photography Exhibition.” We invited renowned photographer, DINGDONG to GHQ and asked him to randomly, casually take pictures that capture his impression of Gamania from various angles, creating a vivacious and surprising Gama-vision.
In to exhibition, SPACE 17 Forum invited DINGDONG and the manager of Lomography Taiwan, Irene Yeh to share their stories. DINGDONG share his joyous decade working with Lomo, including sentimental and romantic love stories and his exclusive photography tips. In face, “Love and Passion” are two key elements to a good photo, according to him. Irene brought up 10 predictions about Lomography, encouraging everyone to stay away from digital world and adopting a more experimental attitude to rediscover all the fun things in life.
5th golden rule of Lomo, “try to take a picture from your hip angel facing upwards.” The idea is to remind people to change an angle to see the world. Of course, the display of photos has to be original.
DINGDONG laughed and said that when CEO Albert was asked to do a 45 degree angle self-shot, he was more than happy to do it. He feels that Gamania is such a lively and merry bunch.
