Gamania Have a good IDEA: Staff Creative Proposal Trial Campaign Kicks Off!

According to renowned Taiwanese medium, Management Magazine, out of the top 10 corporate management tools, ‘Staff proposal’ is ranked at number 4. It is not difficult to see how important ‘staff proposal’ is for companies to enhance competitiveness. Not only did the data show us that, but well-known global companies had already carried out such initiative, such as American internet giant, Google, French bank magnate, Société Générale, Asian automobile tycoon, Toyota and Taiwanese real estate frontrunner, Sinyi Realty etc. These companies all have their unique internal proposal mechanisms. In the past, Gamania had held many internal creative proposal competitions, however those were mostly one-off short term campaigns. To encourage staff to propose good ideas, now Gamania will develop its proposal culture internally!

Encourage Gamanians to Think About Improving Work Status

This campaign is different from the past in that it is centered on the concepts of ‘staff creative proposals’ and ‘improving work status’. Each employee knows the best about their work place and workflows so they could potentially come up with ideas that are spot-on. In the meantime, we seek to train employees to develop abilities to spot problems at work. We value each staff and hope that with days go by, they will become experts in their designated fields.

As a guide for the employees and to manage proposals, the proposals will be divided into 6 categories: enhance efficiency, reduce cost, improve quality, create revenue, social responsibility and others. We hope that Gamanians could think and take initiative in coming up with creative ideas based on their work experiences. Gamania will give proper recognition to stellar performance so the talents may be fully developed and the staff could gain a sense of accomplishment, self-enhancement and being recognized.

Regarding staff creative proposal, Albert also mentioned his expectation, “I’d very much hope that we could shape an internal culture: when a Gamania finishes a day of work and thinks about some work-related problems on their way home, they could do more than just complaining about them. They are willing to spend more time to think about solutions and take the initiative to propose them. This is why we need an open platform internally so that Gamanians could throw these good ideas out and be recognized for their efforts.”

First Test, then Fully Implement

When a new system is to be implemented in a company, it is very much like a game to be launched in the market. We must first test internally, observe and collect opinions for further adjustments. Then, when everything is ready, we could sell it to our players. “There isn’t any new system with perfect mechanism and reward method before its full implementation. Gamania is never a step behind in giving out rewards, but what we are afraid of is giving out the wrong rewards,” said Albert. The staff creative proposal campaign will test run till end of this year. The official reward method will be issued after formal evaluation and the system will be fully implemented throughout the Group. The proposals received during the trial period will also be applicable in the official scheme in the future.
