China 2011 Spring Banquet—“A Beast on the Prowl; Turning the Tide Around”

GCN hosted its very own Spring Banquet on February 25th 2011. This year’s banquet was unprecedented, participants wise, or content wise. GCN also had the most VIPs, in addition to CEO Albert and BU/SU heads of GHQ, 臺灣區營運長V哥, COO of GTW, Vincent Chuang, COO of Alibangbang Barron Lo, and COO of RedGate, Jacky also came to Shanghai. The event was mesmerizing and marvelous, in addition to exciting games and shows prepared by the organizing committee, all the supervisors of GCN also prepared stellar performances to show their appreciation for Gamanians’ hard work and encourage everyone to keep up with the good work!

Opening Address

▲Since the CEO was present, we had to ask him to get on stage to say a few words. Albert said that success is gained after a series of failures. He stated that he regards the China market very much and is looking forward to seeing GCN booms in the market. He also encouraged everyone to keep up with the good work and continue to accumulate Gamania’s strength in China.

Special Feature Shows

The theme for this year’s banquet was “A Beast on the Prowl; Turning the Tide Around”, to go with the theme, the organizing committee arranged feature performance: Traditional Lion Dance to symbolize that GCN’s power will be woken like the lion and get ready for some real action.

▲“Face-Changing”, a traditional Chinese drama was performed at the banquet, symbolizing GCN will change its look and fight an honorable war.

 Internal Performances

GCN supervisors also pulled out some time from their busy schedules and practiced for three distinct performances, one of which was “”

Fun Games

In addition to the shows and performances, there were also fun games for all staff to participate. One game that fired up the scene to the max was “Eat a cake with your eyes closed”. In this session, we asked our February birthday colleagues to come on stage. People were paired up in two to finish the cake in the little plate and see who eats the fastest. Little did they know that the game turned into a Cake Fight, with batter and cream flying across the stage. What a mess!

Lucky Draw (Red Envelope)

Lucky draw is a must in every annual party. This year, the organizing committee made special Little Gama-Men Draws and displayed them on stage. The lucky colleague could win up to 4 red envelopes. GCN wants everyone to enjoy that thrill of claiming red envelopes so they prepared tons of them: every colleague who shows up at the banquet gets one, if you participate in the game on stage, you get another one; and if you win the game, you get another one. Adding the red envelope drawing during the interim, the more the merrier!
