GJP announced that Langrisser Tri-Swords, a webgame adapted from the classic console war-chess game, :Langrisser, is to conduct its official open beta test!
Langrisser is initially a console game series created by Masaya, the software division of Nippon Computer Systems. It is categorized as war-chess game. In the proceeding of the game, the drama element takes up a huge proportion which is why some players positioned it as tactic-role-play game. Since its launch in Japan and Asia in 1991, it has been sold over million sets and is said to be the ‘it’ war-chess game of the 90s. The sexy and extravagant characters were originally drawn by renowned Japanese manga artist, Satoshi Urushihara, adding the moving story board and easy operation system, Langrisser has been well-received since its debut launch. To this day, its subsequent series also received great results.
GJP announced the adjusted official title, Langrisser Tri-Swords in May this year. The ‘Tri-Swords’ series signifies the webgame created specifically for the Asian market, after Gamania acquiring the authorization of Der Langrisser. The new series not only inherited the original task scenarios and soldier types but added the battle system. Players can choose to join between Kingdom of Light, Kingdom of Darkness and Kingdom of Dawn and battle against players in other legions.

The characters of this game are also exquisitely beautiful. The soundtrack for the game was produced by Noriyuki Iwadare, who had previously produced Kimikiss, Amagami, Growlanser and Grandia. Therefore, Langrisser Tri-Swords is definitely a new webgame that excels in both visual and audio presentation!
