Wow! Gamanians Aren’t Humans!?

What exactly are Gamanians? Earthlings? Marsians? Or aliens? In fact, Gamanians are not even humans for they possess of three pillars of Gamanian spirit that differentiates them from ordinary people. What are the three pillars of Gamanian spirit? What do Gamanians look like in the eyes of Gama Star? As a Gamanian, this is something you gotta know!

Three Pillars of Gamanian Spirit

Pride: Not arrogance, but having the confidence to look to one’s laurels

“In the games, there isn’t a boss you can’t beat. There is nothing you cannot do in reality!” This is the ‘Gama’ temper. From ‘Convenience Store’ that broke the norms of game to ‘Lineage’ that changed Taiwanese people’s habit of playing games. Moreover, beanfun! platform integrated all game accounts and consolidated the contents of digital entertainment available in Gamania. These innovative revolutions were made possible because Gamanians’ quest for glory.

Rebelliousness: Not insubordination, but possessing the adventurous spirit

“Rebellious genes running through the veins, we dare to do things others don’t!” Gamanians would try everything once. We approach everything with playful minds and curiosity. Gama island restaurant is a relaxing space that fused in all kinds of possibilities. We had the nerves to throw a big show—Gamanian Game Show and the proof of true Gamanian love—GamaGarden. These things demonstrate that Gamanians love to explore and welcome challenges!

Resolve: Not afraid of challenges and difficulties, and having the courage to move forward

“Even though there is a bumpy road ahead, we would still stride forward, fearlessly!” We are not complacent about our leading status in Taiwan. We are adventurous and we set our goal to become the leading brand of digital entertainment in the world. Carry with us the guts we had when we announced war with domestic distribution channel owners, we enter into the field of digital entertainment. Now this ‘Gama’ has set out from Taiwan, rooted in Asia and strides forward courageously into the world!

What Do Gamanians See Gamanians?

In this issue of G!VOICE, we not only analyze Gamanians, we even let Gamanians talk about Gamanians. We invited two Gama Stars in 2011, Sida Yuan from R&D in GCN-BJ and Ryohei Takahashi from IT in GJP to talk about Gamanians in their opinions.
G!VOICE: For you guys, what features do you think best represent Gamanians?

Sida Yuan: I think it’s the positive and optimistic attitude! We are curious about everything and love everything. It doesn’t matter how old we are, we just want to conquer the world with friends who share our ideals. Gamanians is a rare breed of adventurists and OTAKU. For example, my colleagues are typical (and adorable) Gamanians: they hold their smart phones at all time, they own all kinds of toy figures, they like to go out and have fun but they also work like there is not tomorrow.

Ryohei Takahashi: freedom to do what they like blended with harmonized imagination. Gamanians like to challenge new things at all time and bring joy to players. I think this is the main reason Gamania achieved where it’s at today.

G!VOICE: What percentage of true Gamanian do you think you are? Please give some illustration.

Sida Yuan: I think in Gamania, everyone is wholesome. The only difference is some ‘Gamas’ are still green, some already ripened. If I have to grade myself, I’d say I’m a 99% Gamanian because I always work hard for the missing 1%.

I’ve worked in Gamania for 3 years. There were times when I didn’t get myself together and got scolded by seniors but I have been a true Gamanian the moment I stepped in here. I started my maturation from when I was a green ‘Gama’: I love to play, I’m optimistic, open-minded and strong. I love what I do and I wanna conquer the world. I’m 99% for sure!

Ryohei Takahashi: Ever since I joined Gamania, I’ve learned a lot of things. I’ve learned to challenge things at all time and always be prepared to face difficulty. At the moment, I don’t think I am quite there yet as I am only half way to my goal. From now on, I seek to become the ‘best’ and will not settle for ‘better’!

There Is No Such a Thing As Too Difficult to Play

When Gamanians are dealing with things, it’s as if they are playing a mega game. When we face a difficult task, we tend to overcome it with creativity. We have the confidence to pursue glory and the rebellious genes to explore what others fear. Even though there is a bumpy road ahead with lurking danger, we give it a try anyway and never give up. Our resolve is our backbone and the reason we courageously stride forward. This is Gamanians at our best!
