2012 Gama Cup Feature Report
The 17th GHQ Sports Day –Gama Zoolanders was held in the Taipei City Zoo. The Sports Day was also Family Day. The reason why it is always held on Saturday is to allow Gamanians bring their families to this event to feel the freshness and energy of Gamania!
Gama Cup Sports Day was held during the raining season in Taiwan but it was great that morning and the event ran so smoothly that everyone had good time in the zoo.
Cheering competition was served as the initiation of this Sports Day. Team cheer is one of the most important traditions of Gamania which represent the spirits and teamwork of each department. Therefore people from every department pull all their efforts to show the crowd what they got. There were skit, dance, and talk show. The dynamic cheer performances really cheered everyone up. The “Foundation Flame,”“Gama Point,” and “Gama Good” won the top three prizes respectively. After the cheering competition, everyone was dancing with the music and moving their bodies. The Task Master started in the afternoon.

Move Your Body Time
Scoring items of Sports Day included attendance rate, cheering competition, and Task Master which was the key determinant for the scores. The battles of “Bowling Game” and “3 on 3 Basketball Game” had already started before the Sports Day. The winning teams had brought extra points for their own teams and the sudden death games were held on the Sports Day as well.
There were eight tasks that spread in different part of the zoo: Gama Photo Sticker Fun (Formosan Animal Zone), Gama Sticky Fun (Insect Valley), Guessing Cup (Asian Tropical Rainforest Area), Draw Something (Children’s Zoo), Memory Quizzers (Koala House), Gama Check-in (Giant Panda House), Animal Quizzers (African Animal Area), and Gama Quizzers (Penguin House). To get points for the team, one must successfully overcome each task. It was not easy to conquer all the eight tasks because they were located in every corner in the zoo therefore the participants must travel through every part of the zoo to collect all points.
After a series of competitions including team cheers and barricade games, the “Gama Point” finally got the Championship of 2012 Gama Cup and the “Red Gate CORE” won the second place and the third place went to “Gama Good.”Holding the Gama Cup Sports Day at zoo not only allowed children participants to be familiar with the animals and expand their knowledge but also refreshed the childhood memory for all the Gamanians participated in. It didn’t start to rain until the event was coming to the end which was quite a happy ending for everyone.
