Gamania has held the its debut “Crazyracing Kartrider” World Championship Qualification Competition this year. Officials selected 4 competitors – “Baoge (Neal)”, “Kunping”, “Baodan (Noah)”, and “Shewang (SK)”, to represented Taiwan and flied to South Korea for the ultimate battle. The final stage was held in South Korea on the 24th, and there were 4 teams from Korea, China, and Taiwan engaging in a series of exciting matches. Taiwan team “Formosa Beast” took second place with a final score of 25! South Korea home team “K All-STAR” won the championship with 39 points. Even though Taiwan team failed to take down the home team, the team still managed to win over China team for 4 points and took second place plus KRW $6 million (about NT $168,000).

According to the Officials, the widely anticipated “Crazyracing Kartrider” World Championship Final in South Korea on the 24th was live streamed on the “Crazyracing Kartrider” official YouTube channel. As many as 30 thousand gamers watched it online. Fans were glued to the screens following the matches and also left encouraging messages to cheer for Taiwan team players! This showed how much the gamers care about Taiwan team and their passion for the “Crazyracing Kartrider” competition. After the four players took second place, they immediately let their family and friends know the good news. Everyone agreed that it was a valuable opportunity to be representing Taiwan to compete with top Chinese and Korean gamers in South Korea. Despite failing to take the championship, these gamers will still continue their passion for “Crazyracing Kartrider” competitions, and hope to have the chance to defeat the Korean gamers for sure! The 2019 “Crazyracing Kartrider” World Championship adopts a personal speed competition model. There are three obligatory rounds and the scores are awarded by ranking. Each game awards 10 points to the winner, 7 points to the runner-up, 5 points to third place, and only 3 points to fourth place. Also, the champion of a single game is able to choose the map. After any gamer has accumulated 50 points, a new round will commence. After each round, the ranking is decided by the accumulated score. The gamer in the first place can receive up to 10 points, second place 7 points, third place 5 points, and fourth place 4 points only. The eighth place gamer is deducted 1 point. The sum of the two gamers’ scores will be credited to each team. Furthermore, the two gamers in the first round are forbidden to play in the second round, but there will be no restriction about consecutive entries in third round, and each team can appoint anyone in the team.
Looking back at the competition, the up-and-coming new superstar “SK” had already demonstrated extraordinary talent in the qualifications. He showed his extremely skilled techniques and capabilities in the Korea final, finished as first place many times, and beat other foreign gamers. In the end, he placed No. 3 in the first round. Gamer “Kunping” also gave a steady performance and placed fourth. Establishing a solid foundation for the overall score in the competition.
In the second and third rounds, the performance of the two superstar gamers, Neal and Noah, the “Bao Duo”, presented the perfect partnership and their turning skills, going head-to-head with foreign players several times during the game. “Noah” further placed steady rankings repeatedly in the competition with his stunning techniques, while “Neal” placed No. 1 several times. The most exhilarating part would be “Neal” responding to impact and other sudden incidents with special 360 unique techniques in highly intensive games. Through the game, one could see Neal’s steadiness and stress-resistance. His performance was really appreciated. At the end of second round, Neal finished as second place while Noah finished as fourth in the games.
